Anthony Vaccarello Dresses

Belgian-born, Italian-descended designer Anthony Vaccarello cultivated an interest in fashion from a young age. He studied fashion at the prestigious La Cambre school in Brussels, and his graduate collection was awarded the Grand Prix mode at the 2006 Hyeres fashion festival. Vaccarello went on to specialize in fur design for Fendi under Karl Lagerfeld, before deciding to create his own label.

For his Fall 2010 collection, Anthony explores contrasting textures within a palette of black. Transparency and embroidery is combined to create a graphic silhouette that interacts with the body and creates unexpected lines and dimensions. Combined with masculine tailoring, the collection is designed for a strong woman who wears her femininity as armor.
