Giambattista Valli’s interest in fashion and design was evident at an early age. After studying at the European Design Institute and Central Saint Martins, Giambattista began his career with Roman couturier Roberto Capucci, and later designed for Fendi and Emanuel Ungaro. It was during this time that Giambattista refined his taste for all things French, and his love affair with Paris began.
Giambattista Valli designs for the grown-up sophisticate, with an emphasis on structure and a timeless, refined elegance. As he explains, "I'd love to think that women will hold on to my clothes because they look great for more than just a couple of seasons, or because they've become 'souvenirs' of a fantastic moment they had while wearing them."
