Janis Provisor Jewelry

Janis Provisor is an acclaimed artist/painter with works in major museums and collections around the world. While living in Hong Kong in the 1990s, Janis started beading rare necklaces using the semiprecious stones she collected in her travels. Her friends would literally buy the creations off her neck. One of these friends was Debi Wish, a marketing executive from New York.

Ten years later, both Debi and Janis were back in New York juggling families and careers. Debi suggested they pool their energies and talents to transform Janis' jewelry-making hobby into a career. Her initial jewelry collection of 30 pieces sold out completely at a preview show, inspiring the partners to move forward with the line.

After five years, the guiding design principle remains to create only what they'd want to own. The jewelry is "one-of-a-kind" or limited edition, and is available "by-invitation-only" and at very special boutiques. Janis Provisor Jewelry collectors are some of the most recognizable names and faces in the worlds of fashion, business and society, who happen to share the same independence of style and an unencumbered spirit.
