Lulu Frost
In a distinctive combination of antique and modern elements, Lulu Frost represents an intersection of tradition and fashion-forward thinking. Manhattan-based designer Lisa Salzer, a.k.a. Lulu, creates each one-of-a-kind piece from found period antiques, including long-lost room numbers from the legendary Plaza Hotel, cut steel shoe buckles from the 1870’s, forgotten keys, rare Victorian charms and other resurrected finds. Lisa then reinterprets these antique objects by combining them with unexpected modern elements to achieve a completely non-traditional and fresh feel. Each work has many stories to tell.
Founded in 2004, Lulu Frost jewelry is inspired by Lisa’s background in art history and fine arts, and her grandmother Elizabeth Rock Frost, who worked in the estate fine jewelry business for over thirty years. The gorgeous Victorian, Deco and Nouveau pieces that surrounded Lisa throughout her childhood are profound influences on the style of Lulu Frost today.
