Sang A Im-Propp launched her collection of exotic skin and leather accessories in Spring 2006 to rave reviews. Her intricate and exceptional use of alligator, python, and ostrich skins, amongst others, quickly established her as a designer to watch in the luxury accessories market and beyond. Today, she continues to combine a keen interest in intriguing colors, shapes, and textures with an effortless sense of style that has become the trademark of the SANG A namesake collection.
An established singer and actress in her native South Korea, Sang A found herself naturally drawn to a different world: fashion. Upon her arrival in New York City, she began honing her skills at The Parsons School of Design and through internships with high-profile stylists. During her travels to Europe, Sang A discovered the workshops where French and Italian artisans have crafted luxury accessories for generations. This fueled her passion for exotic skins and beautiful textures, which shaped the SANG A brand we know today. Now, as a budding talent, she finds inspiration through everyday observations ranging from her travels to people watching in the streets of SoHo.
