Inspired by les années folles of Kiki de Montparnasse and Jacques Demy’s films, Shourouk established her eponymous company in 2007. Since then her work has shifted from romantic designs to an entire collection of contemporary accessories. Her line features embroidered materials like Swarovski crystals, metal sequins, silk and industrial elements to create hybrid pieces of vanity.
Parisian with a Tunisian background, Shourouk studied at Studio Berçot before honing her techniques within prestigious design houses including Chloé, Galliano and Roberto Cavalli. With inspirations taken from Le Centre Pompidou and the Oriental atmosphere she grew up in, Shourouk shakes up the code of haute couture with her Technicolor world.
