"This collection was inspired by the ‘pizzica’ dance, a traditional dance in a part of Italy called Salento, South of Positano, that derives from the Spanish tradition. The prints, the pizzica jester and the black polka dots are meant to complement each other, in a sensual dance celebrating the summer under an olive grove."
When asked why this collection was chosen to celebrate Kirna Zabête's 20 Year Anniversary, designer Carla Sersale continued, "When you celebrate an anniversary as important as this you would want to dance... So a story inspired by a sensual, Mediterranean dance, was just what we thought it should be!" - Carla Sersale
