About Beth Buccini
Of course, behind every bold and beautiful business is an even bolder woman. Owner and founder Beth Buccini has always had exceptional style, from being named “Best-Dressed” at her Norfolk, Virginia high school to studying Art History and French Literature at the University of Virginia. Beth loved the fashion world and with her talent for building the perfect look, New York City was the place to be. After assisting at Mirabella Magazine, Beth became a Fashion Editor at New York Magazine. There Beth got a front-row view of fashion’s best, using her refined taste to dictate the trends as they happened. Above all, Beth loved to discover those emerging designers that were bringing the bold and beautiful to the runway and beyond.
After years as an editor, Beth wanted to bring her unique eye for style directly to the customer, so she and her college best friend decided to quit their jobs and create a designer shopping experience like no other. In 1999, Kirna Zabête opened at its first location at 96 Greene Street in SoHo (before the neighborhood was the shopping destination it is today). The colorful flagship soon came to be known as the candy store for designer fashion, and after nearly 15 years of success, Beth Buccini and Kirna Zabête started making some big moves. In 2013 the flagship location moved to a larger space at 477 Broome Street, and by the end of 2015, Beth had become the sole owner of her growing business. Then came a pop-up in East Hampton that did so well Beth decided to turn it into a year-round haven selling a selection of high-end fashion for every occasion from the wine bar to the sand bar. Soon after, a third store in Bryn Mawr on Philadelphia's Main Line was opened – a little jewel box oasis of city style. In November 2023, Kirna Zabête opened its sixth store in Nashville, bringing a radiant and luxurious shopping experience to Tennessee’s vibrant clientele.
Today, Beth travels between her six boutiques as a wildly influential force in fashion, using her editor’s eye to curate the best in fashion, worn by the brightest, boldest, and most stylish of women.
